OUTLAWS ANNOUNCE NEW HOME VENUE- Millennium Park Stadium
The Ottawa Outlaws will be moving to Millennium Park Stadium Field for the 2017 season.
The plans leading up the decision to move the team to the East End have been in the works for over 4 months. After reaching out to the City of Ottawa Executive including Mayor Jim Watson, Jody Mitic, Sports Commissioner and Councillor Stephen Blais the agreement started to take shape very quickly. In addition, the local business community of Orleans/Cumberland have shown a keen interest to support the team to help grow the sport of Ultimate.
Why the move?
After every season, we evaluate everything about our franchise. We poll our fans and get their input and use these findings to create our plans for the future said Jim Lloyd, Managing Partner of the Outlaws. The input we received sent a clear message that our fans expected a more robust “game day experience” right down to the game day activities, the food services and the beer that we offered.
By moving to Millennium Park Stadium, the Outlaws now control all aspects of the fan experience. As a fan you can expect:
1. Craft beer varieties available in the stands offered at fair prices
2. Barbecue style food offerings served hot off the grill
3. Game day food specials
4. Fan activities on the concourse level
5. Free Parking
6. OC Transpo access 100 feet from the stadium
7. Kids waterpark located beside the stadium
8. 1000 seating capacity with field level VIP tent options.
We are very excited to be able to offer a complete Ultimate game day experience and we thank our loyal fans for supporting the Outlaws. We can guarantee that our new home venue will not disappoint. Our Home Opener is May 6 will be our chance to show our fans that we made the right decision.
